1. It is permissible for a married man to contract Mut'ah marriage. However, if the Mamtu'a (the woman whom one marries in Mut'ah) is not a Muslim i.e. she is either Christian or Jew (Ahlul Kitab), then the wife's consent is required as per the ruling of Ayatullah Sistani. 2. Divorce is the husband's prerogative. It is better to work out the problem through mutual understanding for the sake of the children; but divorce is an option for the husband.
