Imam Al-Khoei Islamic Center New York Muharram Programs 1442/2020 Thursday, August 20th to Tuesday, September 1st.
Regulations and Procedures:
- All programs will be live streamed via al-khoei.org.
- In person programs will adhere to strict CDC and NYS health guidelines. Masks must always be worn, and attendees must practice social distancing.
- All attendees must enter and exit using the Center’s main entrance.
- Only 25% of normal occupancy is permitted in each venue: Main Hall 180 persons, and school assembly area 100 persons.
- Programs will be a maximum of 60 minutes including Marsia and Nauha.
- Attendees must vacate the Center a maximum of 30 minutes after the programs end.
- There will be no shirtless matam in the Center.
- There will be no use of the kitchen.
- There will be no eating, drinking, or serving of Niaz or (Nather) inside the Center or within the Center’s fence. (The Center is not responsible for any distribution outside the Center’s fence.)
Time and Venue of Majalis:
- Ladies’ Urdu Majlis: 1:30 to 2:30 pm in the Main Hall.
- Men’s English Majlis: 7:15 to7:50 pm in the Main Hall.
- Men’s Urdu Majlis: 8:30 to 9:30 pm in the Main Hall.(Only 1 marsia and 1 nauha will be recited by only one person for each segment.)
- Arabic Majlis (men and women attendees): at 9:00 to 10:00 pm in the school assembly area.
