Asalamu Alikum,
I have a question about the criteria of hijab and if some details in clothing is okay. Sometimes when I’m looking for modest dresses, they come with a belt, or the dress is designed to be sinched at the waist. If the dress is sinched only at the waist, but not to the point where it is skin tight (meaning there is no gap between my skin and the fabric) is it still okay to wear? I’m asking because, even though the sinch isn’t always revealing the exact size of my waist, it still provides a figure, rather than just a straight cut.
and then, if the dress is super flowy and loose, it naturally lays on the chest a bit. Do I still have to style my hijab in a way that will cover the chest area?

As Salaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh,
Based on your specific question and information provided.
From the Fiqh / Jurisprudence perspective.
A woman should not show her beauty or adornments except what appears by uncontrolled factors such as the wind blowing her clothes, and the head covers should be drawn so as to cover the hair, the neck and the bosom. If one wears other than the Abaya, then it should cover the mentioned areas, and with that said a Muslim woman should prefer to choose wearing an Abaya (Chador).
