If a womans menstruation lasts longer than 7 days, is it considered haydh or istihada. If it’s considered istihada, is the woman able to resume her islamic obligations such as prayer?

As Salaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh,
We hope this answer finds you in high Islamic spirit.
If the menstruation lasts for 10 days, it is considered haydh. More than 10 days will be considered istihada. And, in Istihada, she has to perform her religious obligations (more details can be found on the website of Ayatollah Sistani in Islamic Laws).
