عوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
بِسْمِ ٱللَّٰهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
As Salaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh,
Based on your specific question and information provided.
From the Jurisprudence Perspective:
It is obligatory on the guardian of a Muslim who has died to give him ghusl and to camphorate, shroud, perform prayers over, and bury him. The guardian must either do these things himself or instruct someone else to do them;
The guardian of a woman is her husband.
The person washing the corpse must be of the same gender as the dead person. So, a male should wash a male corpse, and a female should wash a female corpse. However, husband and wife are allowed to perform ablution to one another; although it is better that the washing be done with the body covered with a sheet of cloth.
