Statement on Terror Attack in Baghdad

The Imam Al-Khoei Foundation expresses its condolences to the families who lost their loved ones in the most recent terror attack in Baghdad where nearly 200 innocent lives were lost. This relentless campaign of terror during the Month of Ramadhan goes to show that not even the holiest of Islamic months is sacred for the attackers and serves only to confirm that they do not represent Al-Islam. Their aim, instead, is to promote hatred and sow the seeds of disunity among the Ummah. Therefore, in this time of distress we urge the faithful to:

• refrain from hateful and divisive remarks against others, and
• undertake efforts to promote unity within the ranks of Islamic Ummah

Imam Al-Khoei Foundation will be holding a Majlise Fatiha on Monday July 4th, 2016 at 8:30p in honor of those who lost their lives to terror in Baghdad, Ankara, Dhaka, Medina, Qateef and the rest of the world. May these innocent souls rest in peace and may their loved ones have the strength to bear this tragic loss.
